About Sel Hudson

In retrospect, boundaries will be pushed. Conformity will be negated. See, it is important that I go there, otherwise you are not gonna know that I exist. It’s important that writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie tells girls like myself to not try and twist ourselves to be likeable; that it compromises one’s truth as a writer. It’s important that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, spills to young girls that they should fight for what they care about in a way that will lead others to join. Other than that, I love words. They are immersed with such mobility; they explore, they tolerate and are considerate, graceful yet can be regretful.

“Even when it’s ugly, literature is beautiful.” Unknown.
